A Faculty Forum Encounters with Lincoln Through the Arts presented by Dr. Thomas Trimborn in October, 2009 on the campus of Truman State University focused on the writing of historians and especially the work of artists, poets, photographers, sculptors, painters and musicians in telling the Lincoln story. Members of the Truman State University Brass Choir and Cantoria performed a vocal and instrumental piece just as Lincoln actually heard it (complete with period-authentic brass instruments) just before he delivered his immortal Gettysburg Address on November 19, 1863.
